Inner power cabinet: Complete control, massive wattage & cooling
Programmable Logic Computer (PLC) to control & monitor
The PLC, attached to the inside left wall, controls every aspect of this ultrasonic cleaning system. An operator can program and save up to four cleaning “recipes” that are pre-configured to clean various parts or contaminates. These recipes can control immersion times, filtering times, and many other processing options. The PLC also displays each generator’s current wattage output and will create an alert if that output drops below a targeted level. We pre-program three automated recipes based on your site’s custom needs, and our engineers will help you create an additional custom recipe while testing and fine-tuning following site installation. (We also help train your engineering department or subcontracted service company on all aspects of this system’s operation.)
Generator racks to power A/C & ultrasonic transducers
Each generator rack holds six cases, each with five modules—for a total of 30 modules per rack. The electrical box above each rack is rated at 150 amps, which represents 600 amps in total for each four-rack configuration. Each rack generates 600,000 ultrasonic watts of power, for a tremendous total power output running from the back of the power cabinet, to the junction boxes on the outer tank, and finally to the ultrasonic transducers inside the tank.
Air conditioners to cool the generators
Each air conditioning unit is rated at 36,000 BTUs, and is capable of keeping inside cabinet temperatures as low as 62°F—although we recommend a 67°F or 68°F indoor air temperature. This high-powered cooling capacity is critical, especially for super-hot oil and gas desert environments. The cooler one keeps the air inside the power cabinet, the more efficiently the generators will drive power to the ultrasonic transducers inside the cleaning tank.
Main power switch offers rapid on-off control
Each air Found inside the doors on the right-side wall, the main power switch turns all power for the entire ultrasonic cleaning system on or off. We placed the power switch here to allow the operator immediate emergency access to it upon opening the cabinet doors.
